Review from 21 Islands Film Festival 2019

"The story of lamp lighter is endearing and I found the parallels between him and the narrator/writer interesting and compelling. The lamp lighter being uplifted and empowered by his ability to turn on lights while the narrator seemed frustrated by it on his end until a time comes when the lamp lighter is no longer needed to turn on lights and the writer questions whether he's cut out to be a writer - a sort of celebrity in their own right. Coming to the conclusion that sometimes one has to go back to basics to reinvigorate and reignite the passion within, which serves a bigger purpose in life. Such as the lighting of the moon. The cinematography and aesthetic of the film were on point keeping it to simple shots and a color grade that best fits a story that need not be complicated. I really appreciated this film. "
